Patricia Hartman is the owner of Patricia Hartman, CPA, PA in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her goal for her clients is to maximize their outcomes, whether assisting with their litigation cases, helping business clients fight fraud, valuing their businesses or resolving their tax issues. Patricia Hartman combines over thirty years of comprehensive expertise and a passion for solutions to meet the unique needs of the client. Mrs. Hartman’s vast skills, knowledge and expertise have made her one of the most highly sought-after consultants in the industry. As a seasoned CPA (Certified Public Accountant) with more than thirty years in accounting, she brings clients a depth of experience to all her areas of expertise. She has earned designation and a CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts). She is qualified to provide financial expertise to Collaborative Family Law clients who are seeking to keep the court out of their family matters.
As a forensic accountant, she frequently testifies as an expert witness in family law and business disputes, and effectively handles sophisticated financial matters and complex tax matters. She works to evaluate complicated financial matters, effectively conducts intricate forensic analyses, develops client litigation strategies, offers financial expertise and assists with tactical planning and negotiation, exceeding client expectations.
Patricia has spoken at the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (Florida Chapter) at the Annual Institute Symposium on “Credible Business Valuations: Fact or Fiction.” She has also spoken to the Broward County Lawyers on the topic of Personal Goodwill, Fraud in the Workplace, and Forensic Accounting Hot Topics, as well as other speaking engagement related to Fraud Prevention and Detection to local business organizations.
Mrs. Hartman is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA); the North Date/South Broward Chapter of FICPA; National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA); the Broward County Matrimonial Lawyers, The Broward County Christian Lawyers Association, and the Collaborative Family Law Professionals of South Florida. She is an alumna of Lifework Leadership South Florida.
Mrs. Hartman completed her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting at Florida Atlantic University; Bachelor of Science, French and General Linguistics, University of Virginia, and post-graduate studies required for certification as a CPA in Florida at Florida Atlantic University.
Prior to her ownership in her current firm, Mrs. Hartman was a partner at Kofsky, Hartman & Weinger, PA for twenty-two years and as an employee at H. Edward Jones, CPA, PA, where she gained valuable experience providing accounting and tax services to various business and individual clients.
Patricia was born and raised in Virginia. She moved to South Florida in 1980. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, world travel, teaching, speaking and writing books. She has authored two books: “The Christian Prenuptial Agreement” and “A Funny Thing Happened on My Journey to Heaven.” She is currently working on a suspense novel series.
